Armed robbery near Farmers Market

Orlando Lavor Franklin Macon police are investigating an armed robbery and assault that occurred early Monday morning on Oglesby Place. Precinct 4 Officers were called to 1930 Oglesby Place around 1:58 a.m. Monday, after a report of a Burglary in Progress which was upgraded to Armed Robbery and Home Invasion. When officers arrived on the scene they found 20-year-old Orlando Lavor Franklin exiting the rear window of the home with a gun in hand. Money belonging to the victim was also found in Franklin’s pocket. A second suspect fled the scene. Franklin was arrested and taken to the Bibb LEC. He has been charged with 4 counts of Armed Robbery, 4 counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
